Who is eligible? If you are 16 or older, there are many no-cost services available to you right now to help you find a job, even if you have a job right now, but want something better.
No-cost services include:
  • Job search and placement assistance
  • Access to job listings of companies in Southwestern Illinois or throughout the region and state
  • Basic assessment of skills and needs
  • Follow-up help in seeking a job
  • Career assessment
  • Creating resumes
  • Job search workshops
  • Apprenticeship information
  • Veteran services
  • Trade adjustment assistance

Ways that MAWIB fosters tomorrow’s workforce:
  • Youth Public Awareness Summit
  • Leverage funds for youth programs
  • Dropout Prevention/School to Career programs.
  • 8th Grade “Welcome to the Real World” workshops.
  • Motivate individuals, agencies, and communities to improve the quality of youth services
  • Special Tours of One Stop Centers for Youth.
  • Enable business to partner with schools on youth development and to fulfill future workplace needs
